    • Ensure that Motor_I_max is Not Exceeded

    Select E-Shield (45ES150-) as 6.7 x (415/340) = 8.2 KW

    • Preferred Safety-Line Voltage-Type of E-Shield is same as Safety-Line Voltage-Type of Controller i.e. AC or DC

    FUNCTIONAL FRAMEWORK

    • During Normal Operation of the Elevator, E-Shield monitors the Incoming 3-Phase Power supply.
    • In the Event of Power Failure ( All three or any one phase failure ), E-Shield takes command from the main controller by isolating Safeties and Door System.
    • During Inspection Operation of the Elevator, E-Shield can be Disabled
    • E-Shield checks if all regular safeties are operational and okay.
    • If Safeties are by-passed then E-Shield Logs the Fault and Terminates Operation.
    • E-Shield checks for Passenger Load in the Car by attempting to run the lift in alternate directions. If the Passenger Load in the Car is less than Balanced Load then UP direction is selected else Down Direction is selected. Having selected the Direction, the Car is brought to the nearest Floor in that direction.
    • Upon arrival at the Floor, Doors are opened in case of Auto-Doors.
    • The Rescue Operation terminates and hands control back to the main control for resumption of Normal Operation.

    FUNCTIONS

    SFT…. Safety Fault Trip

    It intends to ensure that the Safeties are not bypassed electrically

    At the beginning of the Rescue Operation, before closing the Lift Door, E-Shield checks if the Doors are already Closed. If Doors are already Closed then E-Shield Logs the Fault and Terminates Rescue Operation.

    Therefore, This Feature can be activated only with those Doors which SAG when there is NO Power Supply to the Door Operator.

    However, during Rescue Operation, after Opening the Door, E-Shield checks if the Safety Chain is ‘Open’. If the Safety Chain is NOT ‘Open’ then E-Shield Logs the Fault and Terminates Rescue Operation. Thus indicating improper Safety Chain Inter-Connection.

    MPL_CHK…. Motor Phase Loss Check

    • It intends to Check Phase Loss to Main Motor while Running

    DCE…. Door Close on Exit

    • This feature intends to Close the Door, After Opening the Doors, before Exiting Rescue Operation.

    DCTO…. Door Close Time-Out

    This feature intends to Remove Power to the Door, After the Selection Runs are completed and the Rescue Run begins in the Selected Direction.

    BRK_1ST…. Brake First Drops before Motor is De-energized

    • This feature intends Usage with High Efficiency Gears or Gearless Systems.
    • Note : Additional Hardware Required

    OCT…. Motor Over Current Trip

    • This feature intends to Terminate Rescue Operation, If the Motor Current exceeds ‘IMmax’

    UCT : Motor Under Current Trip

    • This feature intends to Terminate Rescue Operation if The Motor Current is less than ‘IMmin’

    OST…. Motor Over Speed Trip

    • This feature intends to Terminate Rescue Operation if The Motor Over-Speeds.
    • To enable this feature Speed Sensor is required.

    UST : Motor Under Speed Trip

    • This feature intends to Terminate Rescue Operation if The Motor Under-Speeds
    • To enable this feature Speed Sensor is required.

    FAN : Cooling Fan Control

    • This feature intends to Control the Cooling Fan Operation

    INSTALLATION GUIDE

    BR_VR% : Brake Voltage Reduction

    • This feature intends to Reduce Brake-Voltage to User-Set % of the Initial Value ( 100 % ) after ‘1PH_VRT’ Time Delay during Rescue Run.
    • Use this Feature to Reduce Brake_Coil Heating and/or Battery Drain
    • Note : Feature Disabled if BR_VR% = 100%

    DO_VR% : Door Motor Voltage Reduction

    • This feature intends to Reduce Door Motor Voltage to User-Set % of the Initial Value ( 100 % ) after ‘1PH_VRT’ Time Delay during Door Opening.
    • Use DO_VR% with 1PH_VRT to Reduce Door Banging during Opening
    • Note : Feature Disabled if DO_VR% = 100%

    1PH_VRT : 1 Phase Voltage Reduction Time

    • This feature Sets after which 1 Phase Voltage is Reduced to BR_VR% during Rescue Run or to DO_VR% during Door Opening
    • Set 1PH_VRT time to Reduce Door Banging during Opening
    • Note : Brake Voltage Reduction is NOT Time-Critical

    Foot Note

    • All Features are to be Enabled for their Functioning. Disable Features only for Diagnostic Purposes.
    • Never Change Parameters during Rescue Operation Could result in malfunctioning and even damage
